Summer Lovin'

The weather has given us the best of tropics recently from the glorious sunshine to absolute downpours but we can't complain there is still some sun!

So we'll start off with some photos of all our lovely dogs in all weathers!

Next up, we have another guest at 'Hotel Bruff', this time it's Bertie! This cheeky chap has been before but he's here for two week this time!

Puppies and Growing Up

We'll start off with Floyd and Ruby, these two have been growing up together and learning since they were old enough to get out the house and don't they know how to have fun!

Next up we'll have to two puppies, who have the energy to run a marathon: Scarlett and Alfie!
Scarlett has been in the Bruff's Bark Band nearly a year now - since she was a pup! - and Alfie has just recently joined the Band but is becoming friends with all the other members!

Finally, we have The Boys - Jack, Charlie and Marley - these three although no longer pups but still have show they know how to have fun. 

Marley being the youngest has grown up with the rest of the Bruff's Bark Band and Charlie has only recently joined as well but has already found his place and friends. Finally there is Jack, the oldest of The Boys - only 3 years old! -  and one of the longest serving members of the Band but can outrun anyone!.

Guess who's back?

Scarlett!

Yes it has been a while since we last had this girl out but now she's back to play and train! So how about a little video of Scarlett in action at a training session being taken through the ropes by her own sister!

In other happenings, Buster has been staying with Rhu and Skye for the past week and you'll see he's seem be chilled to the max - even with the passing influx of summer heat! Well  to be fair he has been having lots fun and working hard with the girls.

Goodbyes and Hellos

We are sad to announce that Bailey has left the Bruff's Bark Band to be re-homed to his brother, this was a hard decision but for the benefit of himself and his mum. He'll be missed by all especially his two "sisters" Scarlett and Betty.

But we also have good news with the introduction of both Marley and Duke in the Bruff's Bark Band. Marley is a young French Bulldog - who loves nothing but to play with his new pals - and Duke an old collie cross - who loves nothing but to play fetch and some peace and quiet.

March Madness

For a few days this week we've been seriously wondering which season we are currently in now, but nevertheless we continued on through the blizzard conditions to the warm sun come the end of the week but not without loads of videos of our furry friends!

We start with Bailey, Jack, Scarlett and Betty in the best of the blizzard!

Here we have Chloe enjoying the weather to the max, almost camouflaged in the snow!
 

Thirdly we have Rhu, Skye, Buster and Winston enjoying the cold but calm weather.

Finally we have Kari - a new start to the Bruff's Bark Band - enjoying a good play in the aftermath of the awful weather!

Also we have received our Dog Walking permits from the Council!

Betty, our puppy rottweiler is growing up fast and full of energy, she is best of friends with Bailey and Scarlett as you can see from the video below:-

But recently she has spent the weekend staying over with Rhu and Skye - and having a blast! Skye - per usual - has acted like a mother towards her, whilst Rhu an aunt. From the video and photos you will see the fun and chaos they had together.

 

Finally not to forget during the weeks of fun,we have our wizard Merlin! He now over a years old and feisty as ever; though after a good game of tug of war he loves nothing other than a little lie down to rest.

Also you may have noticed we've added another tab labelled "Staff Holidays", this is just to share dates of when staff are on holiday, but don't worry as we'll still be available for walks and plays during these as we have extra hands to help out!

Busy Busy Busy

It's been one of those weeks, fun without much sun.

Firstly we've had this lovely boy staying over with the girls for the week:

Bodie the cheeky lad!

He just loves to play fetch and meet other dogs, but also sneak into bed with Skye! Don't they look so happy together!






Skye and Winston have had some adventures down at Granton Harbour, where they just love to run and have some fun in the cold waters!

Betty has started to show her true nature and putting up a good fight with Scarlett, with Bailey there to keep the peace and keep the Jack-a-Bee in line - though he's showing his age compared to the puppies.

Bruff's Bark's Babies!

We are happy to introduce the new member of the Bruff's Bark Band: Betty! As you can see she has been introduced to Scarlett but also Bailey and Cara! She is only just over 2 months but she is a smart little Rottweiler, happy to play with her new pals.

All these dogs - except Bailey - are all under a year old, but meeting lots of new dogs at this age will benefit them greatly, as they'll be a more calm and happy when they grow up but they also learn from how to act from other canines.

Also not to forgot another puppy in the Band, although a good bit bigger, Chloe! Here is her walking with Hilary, off to go have fun!

The Young, The Mature and The Old

Just a small video to show that dogs of all ages can get along, though George seems to be having trouble keeping up with Scarlett; Bailey is happy to play with him at his pace.

The Little-Big Adventures of Bruff's Bark

We start this adventure with Millie meeting Cara and Baxter. Millie is nearing her first birthday and she is a lovely little Boston Terrier cross Griffon Bruxellois, who just loves to run and meet new friends, though shy at first.

Millie's next adventure includes Winston, Buster, Max, Monty and Ruby! As you can see Millie and Max became quite friendly and it was there first time meeting each other!

Our final big adventure of the week included little Scarlett, Bailey, Saskia and Kropka. Bailey   as a big friend of Scarlett made sure she was safe at all time by checking on her every time she was on the move, but Scarlett was having a blast meeting Saskia and Kropka.

Cara the Lurcher

Cara has just started in the Bruff's Bark Band and she is already becoming known to the rest of the other dogs. As you can see, she is small but full of energy! She just loves to run about and have fun; she is also showing off her intellect by picking up commands quickly. We are happy to see that she's become quite the friend with Scarlett - leaving poor Bailey to play by himself.

After a good walk and play, she loves nothing more than coming over to Skye and Rhu; to have a rest deserved rest.

These two canines chums just love to play and walk with each other. Although Scarlett is full of beans and always excited for anything, Bailey takes it in good nature and let's have her fun. Their ages and sizes show that dogs can become best of friends with each other when given the time to get to know each other.

Also from the video, you can see Scarlett is starting to learn, with Bailey showing her what to do.

Introducing...

Charlie! 

This young cocker spaniel is full of energy and just loves to run and play fetch. As you can see from the video he's a little genius and loves the camera!

Scarlett!

This baby girl - Beagle cross Jack Russell Terrier - has just joined the Bruff's Bark Band and has already fitted in perfectly. She's became best of friends with Bailey and she's ready to go on more adventures and meet more friends!
