Some Playing and Training!

So as you already know at Bruff's Bark we like to keep it fun and exciting so we have a few videos to show you how we do it, first up starring Poppy and her little brother Bailey!

Next up is some action from the last training session with a dab of playing on the side, starring Sammy, Pickles, Buddy and Ollie.

Update: Training Clases

Just a little noticed to all the clients who come to our Saturday Training Classes. Firstly we've reduced the amount of classes down to 2 from 3, this make the classes more social with more dogs in each class. Secondly we've decided to split the classes into the following:

1st Class (12 - 1pm) is suited for smaller dogs or puppies

2nd Class (1pm - 2pm) is suited for larger/more experienced dogs

With that we have extra staff to help for the Training Classes so more dogs can benefit at the same time!

Back to School!

After a long period without Training Classes, due to weather and the holidays, they are back in and in full action!

We've got new equipment including 2 ramps and a see-saw for all new fun tricks to be learnt!

So here's some videos from the first class of 2015 starting with Jake on his first time at the classes, this little pup shows no fear and 110% enthusiasm!

Another Young Face!

Hello!

Yes! We have another young pup to join the Bruff's Bark Band, this time it's a little girl by the name of Tess! She is just a little bundle of furry joy who is starting to come out of her shell thanks to the fun with other Band members.

Here's a little video of her to introduce and see her in action with the like of Maggie and Frank!

Next up is a clip of both Frank and Red in action at a recent training session, they are both quite new to the training but they are proving themselves are getting through it will ease!

And to round up lets have a little view of what's happening in the house with Rhu, Skye and Cara.

Looks like Spring is Here!

Finally the weather is improving and everything is warming up!

Ruby is still enjoying her time with Rhu and Skye, though her time with them is nearly up! She's getting into the Girls routine, though it's sometimes proving a bit much!

Before we get on with the fun, here's a new girl that's joined the Band, Kelly! She's a sprocker with loads of energy, just like our girl Millie!

 After a good run, the drool gets everywhere!

Puppy Training!

We've got a few videos to show you all of our most recent training session, and you get to see some of the new Bruff's Bark Band members in action!

We'll start with two new faces, Sophie and Midget! These two have both just started recently but are already showing off their skills.

Fun and Training!

There has been some favourable weather for some fun, though at Bruff's Bark we have a select few that will play in any weather!

But we'll start with some fun and training with Hilary and Ruby, she may be young but she's a smart cookie!

Next up, we have a fun loving pair, Sam and Oscar. Sam is a bit older but still loves a good run and play with the ball; Oscar is coming up for his first birthday and although he can be a timid, he just wants to be friends with everyone!

Finally, we have a little clip of a little dog, yet that size does not stop him when he's on the training course, here's Jaxson!

All Back to Normal

The weather is back to it's unpredictable nature and all the dogs are back in routine. One thing all the dogs know is: who's got food!

Food is always greeted with great anticipation!

Using treats - mainly food - is one of the easiest way to train a dog. It's the easiest way to give the right reward for good behaviour, but it's not to be over used or you'll be finding yourself with a dog that only works for food! Starting off with treats and working into patting your dog as a reward is the best way to get a happy dog that knows where they stand.

Oscar is happy to know where his treats are.

We'd like to apologise for the lack of training in the recent weeks; health and safety is our main concern for the cancelling training as the training grounds have become quite hazardous for both clients and dogs. We are hoping the weather improves and the grounds dry up!

Training Notice!

Due to the change in season and health & safety reasons, we are postponing Friday's 4pm till 5pm training slot until further notice.

But we are happy to say that we are opening up another training slot on Saturday: 12pm till 1pm.

Also could we ask all clients interested in training to get in touch by Thursday beforehand to confirm they are coming on Saturday.

The Puppies play, The Puppies learn!

It has been quite a busy time at Bruff's Bark with lots of new puppies starting and coming for training, so we'd like to show you some of the things they have been up and you'll see some familiar faces as well!
We've got Buster, Cara, Winston, Rudi, Otto, Ollie and Baloo all having a bit of fun! 

Next up is the training time! We've got Monty working on perfecting his training and Scout - who stayed with Hilary, Rhu and Skye a few weeks back - coming to show us what he's remembered!

Finally it's been a long two weeks but Cara is finally back home from staying with Rhu and Skye. Although she loved it, we think she'll need a holiday herself for all the non-stop fun she's had!

Training Time and Introductions!

Training is a great part of a dog's life, but it doesn't mean it has to be boring! Here to show off first is Otto - a puppy Bloodhound with a strong nose, especially for treats!

Next up we have Kari, this wee Border Terrier is full of beans and willing to please! She is quick to learn and shows off as she speeds through the training course with her brother and mum! It's easy to see the bond between her and her brother and amazing to watch them together in action!

Next we shall introduce, Oscar the puppy bulldog! He can be quite stubborn to get moving but once he starts he never wants to stop! But you can't stop to aww when you see him!

And finally we have: Bertie the young Beagle! He's just like all Beagles and has his nose in everything but he'll soon learn of more fun things to do!

Scout, Scout, lovable Scout...

He's soft and cuddly, and smiles alot!

Yes that happy looking dog there is Scout, a puppy Labrador, who has spent the last week staying with the girls - Rhu and Skye. At first he was a bit weary of the girls but then he settled in like the rest of them and ended up treating Skye as mum - Rhu on acted like an aunt, sometimes.

So here's a video of Rhu, Skye, Scout, Buster and Cara all playing together and with the new equipment we have got: a tunnel and hoop jump!

And after all the fun he's been having with the girls and new friends, Scout finally decided to get a good night's rest!

The Small and The Tall

Rhu and Skye had a surprise visitor staying over for half the day: Marley! The French Bulldog fitted right in with the girls and also got to befriend someone of a similar size: Winston!

Just Chilling.

Although it was over for a few hours Marley was with the girls having fun, it might have been a bit too much for him as you'll see!

Next we have two puppies though you'll hardly believe it when you see their sizes! Baloo - Saint Bernard - and Otto - Bloodhound - these two giants are only over 5 months yet tower above most dogs and are still growing! We have had them for training but we'd thought we'd let them have a bit of good old fun!

The Basics and Beyond!

Here is more videos of dogs in training, first off we have Rudi the baby Pug with his mum - only a few months old but he's got the makings of a champion!

Next up there is Monty and his brother; a clever collie, who is full of energy and has a passion to work hard. Unfortunately we don't have a flock for him to herd but we'll be training him to do more than the usual tricks!

Finally, here is a video of a fellow who knows what to do and does it - well most of the times - and he's known for his speed, Jack!

Guess who's back?

Scarlett!

Yes it has been a while since we last had this girl out but now she's back to play and train! So how about a little video of Scarlett in action at a training session being taken through the ropes by her own sister!

In other happenings, Buster has been staying with Rhu and Skye for the past week and you'll see he's seem be chilled to the max - even with the passing influx of summer heat! Well  to be fair he has been having lots fun and working hard with the girls.

Training from the Trainee!

We currently have Lauren working at Bruff's Bark over the summer and although she's only been with us a little while she has been proving herself as a trainer and best pal among the Bruff's Bark members!

And here is another video with Lauren training with Betty, as you will see there is a strong bond between them.

And finally you may have noticed that some of our members have been wearing pink/purple bandanas, we have been giving these out for the dogs so they can been seen and recognised as Bruff's Bark members plus they look pretty awesome as Jack will show you.

Toby the Happy Monster!

Now Toby is a young lhasa apso who is full of beans and personality! He's always with a smile and ready to move, but as you'll see he's been a bit too much for the girls - Rhu and Skye!

He's tired out the girls an accomplishment not many could claim! This little happy monster also has a bit of a thing for Rhu as you'll see in the video!

Trials and Errors

Well the weather looks like it's done with the summer but we've cracked on and continued training in the scout hut and we've got some secret footage of the hard work that the Bruff's Bark Band does!

The stage is set so it's now time to get the show on the road! We'll start will a collection of the dynamic duo, Buster and Winston!
