Trials and Errors

Well the weather looks like it's done with the summer but we've cracked on and continued training in the scout hut and we've got some secret footage of the hard work that the Bruff's Bark Band does!

The stage is set so it's now time to get the show on the road! We'll start will a collection of the dynamic duo, Buster and Winston!

Next the trials of Rhu!

Then Skye showing off a bit!

Finally, here's Cara, although shy to heights and jumping she gives it all her best!

We'll be continuing with all the training so keep your eyes open for more videos and fun!

Round Up, Round Up!

We've been busy enjoying the summer weather that we forgot to introduce some new members of the Bruff's Bark Band!

Basie - a.k.a. Sooty - on the left, Berty on the right.

Firstly, we've like to introduce to you all to this lovable pair: Berty and Basie! Although they are similar to the point of they are exact doubles, Berty is actually about 4 years older than Basie! These two are happy to just walk together but they do love a bit of playing and both are smart little pugs!

Just chilling after a good play.

Secondly, here is a young cheerful chap full of energy, Max! This Cavalier King Charles Spaniel just loves to run in the tall grass and play - as you'll see from video.

Also we have new business cards and posters - which will be put up soon -, so keep your eyes open for them!

The Disc Wizard

Here is a short video of Merlin with his mum and dad, and his favourite toy: a frisbee!

We love to see what our furry friends are like at home and out with family, so please send in any videos or photos!

Work Experience and Training!

For the past week, we've had the pleasure of having Paul - Buster's brother - join Bruff's Bark for work experience! We are happy to say he would be welcomed back any time, although he has came out before with us and Buster, he has not seen all the furry friends we have from Boomer to Zero and how they all work differently. As you can see from the video he was able to befriend Duke easily and have a nice play. Buster got a nice surprise by joining us as well through the week, working and playing with other dogs.

Buster having a good lie down.

There is no greater affection than when treats are about!

We had more training done this week, focusing on handling of dogs in certain situations. We are thankful to Jinty for helping us out to show to how handle very excited doggies - all the dogs love her to bits.

This week we had Rhu, Skye and Buster as our training dogs. They had lots of fun doing recall, walking around obstacles and getting treats!

Let the Training Begin!

The course set for the basics.

We have jumped straight into training for the newbies joining Bruff's Bark, we had our first session this Friday and we have to say it went very well. We had Jamie, Lauren and Katie all eager to see the basics of Bruff's Bark Training, with Hilary showing how and what to do.

Rhu, Skye and Zero were the dogs we used for this session - although Zero was a bit apathetic to training compared to the girls. We started from the basics of Sitting, Staying, Waiting and Coming then a bit of fun of weaving In and Out between training poles.

More training sessions and fun will be on the on it's way with more and other dogs!

Hilary getting everyone's attention.

P.S.

Here's some photos from Betty's training session with her brother and sister, everyone is so happy and having fun!
