A Surprise Visit!

Hotel Bruff had another guest this week from a well missed 'little' bulldog, Oscar! The wee man is all grown up now and is still the same funny and playful dog as he was when he first joined Bruff's Bark. So let's get into the action!

We'll start off with him meeting Maggie for the first time and what a blast they had, though Oscar still hasn't ran out of steam yet!

He goes on to pester Skye for a bit to get someone to play with him.

The result:

Then finally he decides to help out around the house, one chore he loves is opening the mail and giving a good read before deciding it's for the bin.

And after a few days of excitement when Oscar finally gets home he then decides it's sleepy time.

In other news, we mentioned it a year ago about having a celebrity dog in our ranks and he has now moved on from the newspapers to the TV!
Yes we are talking about Rudi, he was again at the Animal Blessing service at Greyfriars Kirk this year and got some screen time!

Rudi checking that they got his best side!

Hotel Bruff is Booming!

We've just had Buster stay over with the Girls and before he's even checked out, Maggie has checked in! But let's recap on some the events of the week!

Let's start with Buster who was with the Girls mainly but did meet a little man who's taken a great liking to Buster, it's Travis! This young pup is a happy little man who just wants to learn an
d be friends with everyone.

Awww kisses!

And of course Buster's stay over would not be complete without some photos of him happily chilling!

Happy!

Yes, it was a tiring day!

Next up we have a collection of clips of the 'West Side' Gang; starring Yogi, Ruby & Floyd and Red!

Floyd sometimes like to hog all the toys!

Finally, we've got a new face to introduce: he's big, bouncy and 100% fun; here's Floyd! He may be nearly 2 years old - a young adult in Dog years - but he's still a puppy at heart!

He's already ready to play!
And what better way to show him in action than with him and Skye and one squeaky ball!

It's the Summer Holidays!

Which means business at Bruff's Bark is a bit quieter with a good lot of our dogs away for some time, but it doesn't mean we have been slacking!
Though the heat has proved sometimes a bit too much for the dogs recently! So here is some photos from the week of our dogs in the sun!

Merlin and Daphne having a little break
Next up it's Jack out in the park, chilling after a good play with the ball.

Then here's the silly face of Oscar, who had a really good walk in the sun but unfortunately couldn't move when he got home - had to bring the water bowl to him!

And here's big Red, enjoying a good lie down at the beach before heading home.

Though Red caught the attention of two lovely ladies, who started to follow him as he passed by but were happy to get their photo taken.

And finally but not at all least, here's the Girls - Rhu and Skye - enjoying some peace at Hotel Bruff before the next visitor turned up, Buster!

Another Young Face!

Hello!
Yes! We have another young pup to join the Bruff's Bark Band, this time it's a little girl by the name of Tess! She is just a little bundle of furry joy who is starting to come out of her shell thanks to the fun with other Band members.

Here's a little video of her to introduce and see her in action with the like of Maggie and Frank!

Next up is a clip of both Frank and Red in action at a recent training session, they are both quite new to the training but they are proving themselves are getting through it will ease!

And to round up lets have a little view of what's happening in the house with Rhu, Skye and Cara.

It's a Pug's Life!

We have another Pug - or as we have recently learned they are known as the Dutch Mastiff! - and he's a little young pup of 4 months!

Meet Frank!

This little man isn't afraid of anything or anyone and has happily made himself apart of the bigger dogs of the Bruff's Bark Band! We now have 5 Pugs - Winston, Rudi, Bertie, Basie and Frank - each with a different personality but full of energy and joy!

Pugs have been well known throughout history, the breed originating for China but becoming a well sought after dog by royalty in Europe in the 16th Century onwards.

Enough Pug business - for now - we have had some more sleepovers recently, starting with Cara, who is with Rhu and Skye at the moment. So she has been meeting some new doggy friends whilst on her little holiday from home.

So here is her new pals: Hugo, Maggie, Midget and Sophie.

And after some playing -  like rest of the dogs who stay over - Cara is ready for a good nap!

Zzzzzzz....
But with all of the dogs in Bruff's Bark, we do love them and sometimes they show us affection back.

Kisses!

And finally here's another stay over, this time it's Oscar, who join Thumper for the night!

Hello!

This is my bed right?

And sometimes even the dogs have one of those mornings where they don't want to wake up!

More Smiles!

We'll continue with some more happy faces, starting with Jay! This happy girl is quite content with a good ol' walk but secretly loves playing with a ball.

Happy Jay!

Next up we have Elmo, who's getting quite settled in: he knows where home is, his park is and is quite happy to wander about and find out who's been beforehand!
He is also quite happy to play with Hilary, his new best pal!

Finally, we have another new face to introduce, this time it's Red!

He's a big boy at the age of 2, a labradoodle with tons of energy and a passion to play. He now has a new bestie, a little girl with a pretty name, Bonnie - they may be different sizes but she can show him who's the boss!

This is Playtime!

The Bruff's Bark Band members are a very excitable bunch and can play rough but as you'll see it's all safe. We wouldn't let anything spoil a good run around with friends.

We've got a few clips together, starting with Bertie and Sophie - she's really coming out and enjoying every moment of it!
Then we have the Big Sisters: Tia and Rizzo joined by Midget and Maggie, showing size and age doesn't matter.
Finally, it's boy vs. girl, Bertie and Maggie, it's a test of endurance but full of joy!

We make sure that when our dogs play that they are safe and it's never let out of control. Playing should be a big part of a dog's life as it provides socialisation and exercise so we try to make sure all our dogs have a good time as much as possible - and here's the results!

Happiness!
Though a whole week of it can be a bit too much!

Don't want to get out of bed, mum.

An Action Packed Week!

It's been quite a week even with the Easter Holidays!
Let's start with Alfie who enjoyed staying with Rhu and Skye!

Well it was a long, hard week.
Alfie made himself right at home with the Girls, got into their routine and enjoyed meeting more than he bargained for! As he's now got a new best friend, Maggie! These two balls of fluff, hit it off straight away and were  inseparable at times.

But after all the good times, there was nothing more rewarding that a good nap for Alfie.

Next up, we had a birthday party for a special little man, it was his first birthday party and everyone came to celebrate and get cake!

It was Rudi's birthday on Thursday and we made sure that everyone dressed the part as well though some were more willing than other to participate - Buster and Bertie thought their hats were quite tasty!

And once the cake was known to all, chaos ensued!

Finally, Addison got more than he bargained for and had Maggie come visit him - twice! She got to take over his house and enjoyed every second of it!

Trying to become one with carpet.

Becoming friends with the big teddy!

Exploring caves.

Hello!
Though in the end it proved too much at times and like the rest, she just had a good sleep!

We hope you all have a nice Easter and we'll be back into full gear next week with the return of holidays going dogs!
